  ACTION ALERT:
6 DECEMBER 2007

Greetings Relatives! We hope this message finds you
and your family in good health. I am sending out
this S.O.S. to all of you in hopes that we can all
come together in body, mind or prayer, to help
determine the future protection of all our Sacred
Sites. Next week in a courthouse of Pasadena, with
11 Justices, a very important appeal is taking
place, that will set precedent for the protection of
Sacred Sites on all State and Federal lands. Native
organizations, 6 Tribal councils, environmental
groups and human rights groups, have been fighting
for years to save the sacred Twin Peaks in
Flagstaff, Arizona.
They have already won in circuit
court in San Frandcisco, the right to protect these
sacred mountains, from the expansion of a ski resort
that has proposed using waste water to make fake
snow. But the U.S. Forest Service and the
corporation that owns the ski resort has been
approved to "appeal" the decision. So, on Dec. 11th,
right here in Pasadena, 11 Judges will hear both
sides to make another decision. If the court agrees
with decision of the Judges in San Francisco, then
not only are the Twin Peaks in Flagstaff, protected
against desicration, but all Sacred Sites throughout
the United States will now be able to be
protected!!!!!! Even the Black Hills, Mount
Rushmore, Bear Butte, Big Mountain, Yucca Mountain,
Ballona Wetlands, Capistrano, Santa Barbara, San
Diego, Shoshone lands where they've been using it
for a nuclear test site since the 60's, etc. etc.
etc. This is a huge deal!!!! The federal courts are
now looking seriously at this case as is the United
Nations that just was informed. If the United States
passes this case, it will go out to other countries,
and Indigenous tribes around the world can use this
as a basis to protect their Sacred Sites. If our
Sacred Sites are protected we can stay connected to
our Mother Earth, and our children's children will
have a chance to live in a sacred way. Without our
Sacred Sites, the prophesies of many Indigenous
tribes, tell a different story. Morning Star
Foundation began 6 years ago with the intention of
protection and supporting all Sacred Sites, Sacred
Traditions and Ceremony and Sacred Elders. This is
an emergency. We can come together as one voice and
one heart and make a difference for the future of
humanity and all our relations. Please email back
and let us know how you can help. If you are out of
state, your intentions and prayers are being
requested by the 6 Tribal Councils that will be
sending their Chairman, President or representatives
on Dec. 10th. If you are close to Los Angeles, we
need help with blankets, cots, sleeping bags, blow
up matteresses, for the delegation that will be
traveling down here on the 10th of Dec. We also have
volunteered to help with food for the different
events shown below. We ask you in a humble way, to
join us in solidarity, as one Nation, the two-legged
people.Mitakuye Oyasin, Rachelle Morning
